German tutoring 4th and 5th primary school
When does a German tutoring course make sense?
Your child is achieving barely passing or even insufficient grades in German exams? In 4th to 6th primary school, they should learn the fundamentals in German. If they cannot build a solid foundation here, then the further academic path will be rocky. In our school-accompanying courses, we support your child so they build self-confidence and the transition to secondary school A is not jeopardized.
How are the courses organized?
In the German tutoring courses for primary school students, we practice the topics of spelling, grammar, writing texts, and text comprehension during a weekly lesson. Through exercises, topics are repeated and deepened where your child is uncertain. The lessons include group activities as well as topics tailored to the child’s needs, which are worked on using exercise dossiers. Current school topics and questions about homework can be addressed, but fundamentally it is about identifying gaps and closing them. A maximum of 5 children participate in the class, and entry is possible at any time.
Who teaches and where do the courses take place?
Our teachers are carefully selected to help your child reach their full academic potential. In addition to a completed Matura and a University/ETH/FH degree, our teachers working at the primary level have experience in dealing with children, as well as the necessary patience and sensitivity.
The premises of the Open Learning Space in Seefeld, in Wiedikon, and in Oberstrass (kreis 6) offer an optimal learning environment for your child, where they can fully engage with the teacher and learning material.
What are the requirements for participating in the course?
Your child should show willingness to engage with this additional learning unit.
What distinguishes our tutoring courses for primary school students?
The tutoring courses for primary school students are oriented to your child’s existing abilities. Through assessments and suitable exercises, we can specifically address the child’s needs. Gaps are closed, through regular practice the material is consolidated and can be properly applied at school. In the medium term, this affects grades, creating a feeling of self-efficacy. This is demonstrably an important element of intrinsic motivation.
Trial lessons cost nothing.
We would be happy to discuss with you whether participating in a course makes sense for your child. If so, they can come to a lesson to get to know the teacher and the learning atmosphere. Does your child feel comfortable? If so, they can start the following week. If not, we will work together to find a more suitable option.
