Eric is the Site Mana­ger of Open Learning Space Ober­strass. After two Bache­lor’s degrees in Geo­gra­phy and Bio­lo­gy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich, he com­ple­ted his Mas­ter’s in Bio­lo­gy at ETH Zurich. 

He then work­ed in various sci­en­ti­fic fields as a con­sul­tant and trai­ner and also taught Ger­man as a Lan­guage & Inte­gra­ti­on Coach. In addi­ti­on to his role as Site Mana­ger, Eric tea­ches mathe­ma­tics and sci­ence, as well as Ger­man, Eng­lish, and Spa­nish at Open Learning Space. 

In his tea­ching, it is important to him to meet stu­dents whe­re they are and to con­vey even com­plex con­tent in an under­stan­da­ble and struc­tu­red way. With tar­ge­ted ques­ti­ons, he encou­ra­ges inde­pen­dent thin­king and sup­ports them in deve­lo­ping con­fi­dence in their own abili­ties and secu­ri­ty in deal­ing with new challenges.

Maria is a qua­li­fied gym­na­si­um tea­cher with tea­ching expe­ri­ence at secon­da­ry and gym­na­si­um level. With gre­at com­mit­ment, she tea­ches mathe­ma­tics, che­mis­try, phy­sics, bio­lo­gy, Ger­man, Eng­lish and French at Open Learning Space Zurich. In addi­ti­on to tra­di­tio­nal tuto­ring, she spe­cia­li­ses in Matu­ra and gym­na­si­um pre­pa­ra­ti­on. For tuto­ring at gym­na­si­um level, Maria draws on a lar­ge pool of tea­ching mate­ri­als and past exams (espe­ci­al­ly from near­by gym­na­si­ums, e.g. Hohe Pro­me­na­de, Rämi­bühl, Stadelhofen).

Oli­vi­er stu­dies mecha­ni­cal engi­nee­ring at ETH Zurich. At Open Learning Space, he tea­ches mathe­ma­tics, natu­ral sci­en­ces, French, Eng­lish and Ger­man. As he grew up bilin­gu­al in French and Ger­man, he can sup­port our stu­dents par­ti­cu­lar­ly well in lan­guage learning.

Camil­la stu­dies astro­no­my and astro­phy­sics at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich, with mathe­ma­tics as a minor. At Open Learning Space, she tea­ches mathe­ma­tics as part of gym­na­si­um pre­pa­ra­ti­on. She brings expe­ri­ence as a maths tutor and has pre­pared stu­dents, among other things, for the ent­rance exam to the can­to­nal school. With her clear and struc­tu­red approach, she explains mathe­ma­ti­cal con­cepts in an acces­si­ble way and helps stu­dents gain con­fi­dence in sol­ving maths problems.

Sara stu­dies Health Sci­ence and Tech­no­lo­gy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich. At Open Learning Space, she tea­ches Ger­man, mathe­ma­tics and natu­ral sci­en­ces. Sara is invol­ved in a wide ran­ge of acti­vi­ties and has gai­ned tea­ching expe­ri­ence as a tutor, tea­ching assistant and group lea­der at children’s events.

Samu­el stu­dies elec­tri­cal engi­nee­ring & infor­ma­ti­on tech­no­lo­gy at ETH Zurich. He sup­ports his stu­dents in mathe­ma­tics and physics.

Ruben stu­dies Eng­lish lan­guage and lite­ra­tu­re at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich. At Open Learning Space, he sup­ports his stu­dents in Eng­lish and German.

Geral­di­ne is stu­dy­ing Eng­lish Lan­guage and Lite­ra­tu­re for her Mas­ter’s degree at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich, with Ibe­ri­an Romance Lan­guage and Lite­ra­tu­re as a minor sub­ject. At Open Learning Space, she con­tri­bu­tes her in-depth lin­gu­i­stic know­ledge to the les­sons. With a keen sen­se of lan­guage, she explains gram­ma­ti­cal con­cepts cle­ar­ly and sup­ports stu­dents in spe­ci­fi­cal­ly deve­lo­ping their lin­gu­i­stic expres­si­on and text comprehension.

Pierre is curr­ent­ly pur­suing a Mas­ter’s degree in Ger­man and Eng­lish Lan­guage and Lite­ra­tu­re, and is also com­ple­ting his trai­ning as a Gym­na­si­um tea­cher for Ger­man and Eng­lish. He sup­ports his stu­dents in Ger­man, Eng­lish, and Mathe­ma­tics (lower secon­da­ry level). Essay wri­ting and grammar are two of his core com­pe­ten­ci­es, which he tea­ches in both indi­vi­du­al and group tuto­ring sessions.

Delia stu­dies law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Zurich. She sup­ports our stu­dents in Ger­man, mathe­ma­tics, phy­sics and other subjects.

Lia stu­dies health sci­en­ces at ETH Zurich. At Open Learning Space, she tea­ches mathe­ma­tics, phy­sics, che­mis­try and Ger­man. She was an out­stan­ding stu­dent hers­elf and knows exact­ly what mat­ters when it comes to learning.
